Happy New Year 2014! Where DID the time go???
So as I read the previous paragraph, I see in black and white, exciting times, great times, horrible times, joyful times, sad times, challanging times. Challanging times!!! Wow! Revelation time for me again... Did the horrible, sad times, challanging times last forever? Were there blessings in between, sunshine after the rain, laughter after the sadness? Of course, God didn't hang me out to dry.
Okay, God has been there all along, He has walked me through, carried me, held me, comforted me, blessed me, gave and take away. I have discovered blogging again!!! It was fun, it was creative and it was a way to share and laugh at myself through the hard and happy times.
Hello again.

The History of Aprons (Good Old Fashion LOVE)
The History of APRONS I don't think our kids know what an apron is.The principal use of Grandma's apron was to protect the dress underneath, because she only had a few, it was easier to wash aprons than dresses and they used less material, but along with that, it served as a potholder for removing hot pans from the oven.It was wonderful for drying children's tears, and on occasion was even used for cleaning out dirty ears. From the chicken coop, the apron was used for carrying eggs, fussy chicks, and sometimes half-hatched eggs to be finished in the warming oven. When company came, those aprons were ideal hiding places for shy kids. And when the weather was cold, grandma wrapped it around her arms. Those big old aprons wiped many a perspiring brow, bent over the hot wood stove.Chips and kindling wood were brought into the kitchen in that apron. From the garden, it carried all sorts of vegetables. After the peas had been shelled, it carried out the hulls. In the fall, the apron was used to bring in apples that had fallen from the trees. When unexpected company drove up the road, it was surprising how much furniture that old apron could dust in a matter of seconds. When dinner was ready, Grandma walked out onto the porch, waved her apron, and the men knew it was time to come in from the fields to dinner. It will be a long time before someone invents something that will replace that 'old-time apron' that served so many purposes.Send this to those who would know, and love, the story about Grandma's aprons. Or it can be a good history lesson for those that have no idea how the apron played a part in our lives.REMEMBER: Grandma used to set her hot baked apple pies on the window sill to cool. Her granddaughters set theirs on the window sill to thaw. They would go crazy now trying to figure out how many germs were on that apron. I don't think I ever caught anything from an apron ..... but Love !!

Wise Men Still Seek Him

Last week when I went with friends snow shoeing at the Isaac Walton Inn, I had to get a picture of these really cool snow sculptures. I just thought that was a cool thing to see and a great statement! Didn't have much to post on my blog tonight so I thought I would post this.
Oh well I kind of did have something else to reminiss about from yesterday. Before leaving for work, I proceeded to warm up my vehicle in our garage. When I came out after 5-7 minutes or so I discovered that I had left the garage door closed. I freaked! I thought I was going to die from carbon monixide poisoning. So I drove to work and called Greg to tell him just incase I die, that's what happened. Although I tend to over react (ya think), it is WISE to make sure you don't expose yourself to any more carbon monixide that you have to. Do you know that everyday we are exposed to that invisible odorless gas? I spoke to one of the OES (office of emergency services) employee next door to our department and he gave me an informative booklet on carbon monixide. I have a new routine now. When I go out in the garage to warm up my car, I am backing it out onto the driveway. That is my exciting blog for the night.
God bless and be careful. LOL ...

See the picture of the above MRI machine? Doesn't it look cold and gloomy?? Well yesterday I had the chance to experience that lovely procedure. I had 2 MRI's in a row. What fun. NOT. It was the weirdest experience. After being injected in my shoulder with a contrast dye, which felt like a really heavy ache like charlie horse, they put me in the above machine for 40 minutes. I felt like I was the star in a building renovation. It was very noisy, constant clanging and banging. It was cold, dark and LOUD! They give you headphones and a choice of music to listen to to drown out the noise. I chose Christian music. Although the noise drowned out alot of the music, God was faithful and gave me a few of my favorite songs that played. I kind of got emotional in there thinking, God knew how nervous I was that he knew my favorite songs to comfort me!! I never considered myself claustrophobic but I still closed my eyes through the entire procedure just so I wouldn't become it! 40 minutes in there seemed like it was never going to end. Then they rolled me out, gave me a minute to go to the bathroom only to come back and go through it again for my neck, another 40 minutes. When I came out and saw light again and knew it was over, it was an awesome moment! It was finally over!!! Yay! I find out the results on Friday. I give God the praise because I really felt prayers being lifted up for me through it all as I asked people to pray. It doesn't take much for me to work myself up. I did my best to focus on God while listening to his words in the lyrics. It is so true that God's word gives you peace. I also prayed for people while I was in there. It is amazing though how through magnets, it shows all of your insides. I can't wait to see the results on Friday and hope and pray it is not anything serious and that I don't need surgery OR another MRI again!Sunday, January 18, 2009

Getting back in touch with my Blog

Okay, so I haven't blogged in awhile and I really miss it. It was a way for me to unwind after my day and I discovered that I really enjoy writing. I joined facebook a few weeks ago but it's just not the same as blogging. In fact some of it is stupid. I did get in touch with one of my high school buddies though which was cool.
Some escapades from the last time I blogged was
1. Greg and I went on a cruise to the Bahamas and Grand Turks Island last November with my brother. It was a birthday present for me back in June. We had an awesome time! One pic above is Greg at Grand Turk and my brother and his girlfriend with the bahama lady vendor, she was cool.
2.We had a really nice Christmas, nice and quiet at home with just the fam. We decided to see Marley and Me that night and while the movie was cute, the ending was so sad. She dies and to me it was way to graphic. I came home and loved on my dog who looked exactly and reminded me so much of Marley. To me dogs to me are little angel companions that God puts in your life to bring you joy and unconditional love. No matter what you do your dog adores you and never gets tired of you. They love you to pieces with no strings attached and you just can't help but love them back. Okay this blog is going wishy washy. I guess I am in a wishy washy mood. God bless whoever may read this. Although probly no one will :-( .... how do you get people to read your blog??

Breakfast at the Samaritan House, the homeless shelter in Kalispell

Today I served at the Samaritan House, our local homeless shelter with a bunch of ladies from our church bible study. We cooked and served breakfast and learned alot about this awesome place for the homeless in our community. It was such a blessing to be a part of. My heart is so stirred up to help more. It is so true that when you bless others and forget about yourself, it brings great joy to your heart! I was amazed at how God provides through this awesome couple that head this ministry. Everything is provided by grants and donations. They only serve dinner and cereal for breakfast. We made breakfast burritos and danishes from Costco :-) .. It stirred us ladies up so much that we all decided we would like to be part of this and cook and serve them dinner once a week. So we are going to make this all happen. If you want to learn more about the Samaritan house, please go to their blog. There is also a great video clip at the bottom of their blog.

Happy Birthday Greg

Today is Greg's birthday. I won't tell you his age, only a clue that he is eligible for a senior discount. He wanted to go to Famous Daves for dinner tonight, but when we got there it was packed. So we went to the Mongolian Grill. I asked the waitress if since he was __ __ could he get a senior discount? She said he can have a choice of cheesecake or Khans Cake. He was going to pass, but me the kind loving wife chimed in "Oh no, you have to at least try the Khan's cake" I heard it was to die for. IT was AWESOME! ! Holy Cow, it was AWESOME! You would have thought it was my birthday, huh.
Anyway, he enjoyed the dinner and cake. In a few minutes we'll break out the Rosauer's Birthday cake I got him. I pray Greg makes it double the years he is today. If you can guess Greg's birthday, you can come over and have a piece of his cake. ,,, if there is any left.
Greg looks awesome for his __th birthday and is an awesome guy, I must say. He makess me laugh and has a heart of gold. Happy Birthday Greg! I sure wish he would blog, because he won't even read this :-(

God is so awesome!

Even though this picture of Abbey has nothing to do with my blog, I just had to post it because I just love it. IT's a reminder of summer and how it is pretty much gone.
I just want to praise God in this blog for all the good news I am hearing from friends. It really blesses me to hear good things happening when my friends step out in faith and let God work in their life. My friend back east whom I consider my sister who fell away from God called me tonight and said she went back to church for the first time in along time last week. Already she has joy back in her spirit. She has her masters degree and is working at a diner. She told me she really feels God is humbling her by putting her in this position to see how hard other people have it. The people she is working with are really mean and grumpy, especially her boss. But she is standing strong and sticking with it. My best friend went for counceling today with our pastor for her marriage! I am so thrilled she went because she came back so encouraged. It's gonna be cool to see what God does. Then to hear Stacey got a great job with great hours, pay and even has a backup babysitter for when school is out, a worry she had when she took the job. And the skating ministry that Todd and Stacey are starting. Then Greg gets our mortgage statement and our payment went down $90.00! We just got a car payment so with the cut in mtg pymt our car payment will only be 45.00! Thank you Lord, for being so faithful to us when we fail you daily. When we take a step of faith and reach out and obey you even in baby steps you just blow us away! I pray for all of my friends reading this that you will show yourself mighty in their lives and plans and show them that you are greater than anything in this world and can do abundantly more than we can ever imagine! Turn our hearts and dreams passionatley toward you and your plans for our lives and make us into the people you created us to be. In Jesus Name Amen!

My best friend went to heaven on July 7, 2008

Well it's been awhile since I've blogged. Life is hitting us hard these days. We took our dog to the vet on Monday as he wasn't feeling good and threw up a corn cob July 4th. We thought he may have had a stomach obstruction. To make a long story short he had a tumor the size of a kickball on his spleen really close to bursting. We had to make a decision to put him down. It was the hardest thing we ever had to do. Greg, Sarah and myself went to Kelly Rankins office to say good bye to him after I got out of work. It was the saddest thing, something I hope we never have to do again. I looked him in the eye and told him he was a good dog, kissed him on his nose and told him he'll be seeing Jesus and we'll meet him there someday. I couldn't go to work the next day or even walk in my back yard. I couldn't pray or read the bible. But I did ask God to please give me some kind of sign that he is ok and to please touch me in some way. Well at 6:00 our doorbell rang and 2 little boys about 11 or 12 were trying to promote a Christian radio station by selling books for a donation. The book he showed me was called " Your pets and your health" and he said to me "If you ever lost a pet and wondered if he was in heaven, this book is about a story of a guy that loved his dog that died" I teared up and said to those boys "You guys were angels sent by God" and told him what happened with my dog. One of the boys lost his dog too about 1 year ago and I could see the sadness in his eyes. I took the book, gave those kids a hug and praised my Lord for answering my prayer. I truly felt God came to my door that day to lift my spirit. The book is about this man who wanted to research in the bible what God says about pets that die, where they would be and backed it up with scripture. I read parts of it last night and have no doubt that Grizzly is in heaven and I will see him again. Although I miss him terribly, God gave me the strength and turned my sad spirit into joy. I told so many people today at work today and used that as a witnessing tool. Some people got chills but when my God does something so extrodinary like that I have to give him all the glory. He is so awesome!

Beautiful Montana
Yesterday we went to Glacier. What a gorgeous day! We are so blessed to live here, just a half hour away from Glacier Park. When I looked at those mountains, that sky and the calmness of the water, I couldn't help but think of God's splendor and majesty. I just read a cool quote from Max Lucado: "If you have the Shepherd, you have grace for every sin, direction for every turn, a candle for every corner, and an anchor for every storm. You have everything you need." Meditate on that one.

New Sunglasses
My friend stopped in one day last week to see their dad who works at the jail and I ran into them as I was getting off the elevator delivering the mail. Aren't they adorable!!! They were so proud to have me take their pic with their sunglasses! I told them I needed to take their pic so I can put them on my blog. And my dear friend Stacey just gave me directions on how to get a picture from my cell to my blog! Thanks Stacey! I am learning something new every day!
